About Miss Phalyn

T’laryth Phalyn is a twenty seven year old woman in the magical Land of Entrapment, otherwise known as New Mexico. She’s lived there for roughly fourteen years making it the longest she’s ever lived anywhere, regardless of minor relocations within same said state. However, she is loath to call it home. It’s a “temporary stop” on her road through life.

T’laryth’s main goal in life is to make a positive difference in the world no matter how minor. This may seem a simple task but nothing in life is ever simple and she has plenty of scars to show for it. Life is never a clean and tidy process. That, in her opinion, is for the better. She’s gone through a lot but has come to a sort of understanding with life; “Keep it coming and I’ll keep going”.

She’s had an unconventional education; leaving high school due to conflicts with administration, she got her GED and moved on with her life to get a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with the intention of teaching. Having decided that she’d had enough of the political nightmare that is the education system she moved on towards her second life-long love: counter-terrorism, hazmat and first response. Now armed with a basic hazmat tech for industry certification she is slowly making her way forward in life. Don’t let this fool you, however. T’laryth is a veteran in the field of chem/bio counter terrorism studies. Her knowledge of explosives and hazardous devices response is unparalleled in the informally trained civilian world.

T’laryth also spent some time in the theater, her experiences running the gambit. She has both acted and sung on stage. Beside the scenes she has done costume work, stage management and in late 2009 to January 2010 she directed her first show, the stage production of Twelve Angry Men. This, sadly, led to some anxiety issues that have kept her from further theater work. Only time will tell if the theater will return to her life.

Since 2006 T’laryth has been an active beekeeper, currently caring for upwards of 76 colonies of bees throughout the north-central part of New Mexico. Over the years it has developed into a passion of sorts and has kept her busy for three quarters of the year. Referring to the colonies as her “girls”, she works with them as often as needed to keep them healthy and happy. She runs much of the family business, attending three farmers markets in her area.

Her love life is something best left alone. T’laryth’s rather unfortunate luck has become something of a lighthearted joke and she has remained pleasantly single since ending a rather disastrous two and a half year long relationship in mid-2009.
